Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.
The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.
Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several people injured by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.
The attack - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
